I am going to get one of their new Classic Jackets and I'd like to compare the evening stand color to the woodland ghost color I have in my zip up hoodie.
Some of the internet images don't do t he color justice, such as my Woodland Ghost color.
So, if you have any real life pics, can you please post them or email them to me?
Thanks!!!
T
My latest.

Thanks Wud!
Just ran a check on your pic.... looks like it doesn't blob out. I like.!
I have one of the original pull overs in Evening Stand Green. It is a great pattern. I am sure you will like it. Nice and warm too.

This is Evening Stand Green, love this color it blends in well here in Michigan. I'm hunting with my buddy who lives in Pennsylvania in this picture, worked well there too, and the over sized hood worked great keeping the wind off my neck that morning!!!

Terry, I've been wanting to get one of these as well, but I don't see them listed on the website yet. Is this new jacket something you have to special order by talking with Teresa?
Maclean..... she is working on getting them to market, and her web page. She's going to go ahead and make on for me, and I'm going to post some woods pics with it like I did the one she donated for the Laredo Tusk Roundups this year.
She will have them available soon.... :campfire:
Excellent, thanks Terry!
The Woodsman Classic jacket just hit the website, so I placed my order this morning. I'll have it in time for elk season!
All three evening stand colors green, old brown and new brown
Right to left????
Teresa told me that the Evening Stand Brown did have Green in it.... that's what I ordered.... will post pics soon....

Click on the Asbell Wool banner at top of page and you will see mine with a Newfoundland moose
Thanks again guys.... :campfire:
You guys are killing my checking account, just ordered an evening stand brown myself. :biglaugh:
Teresa took great care of me. Order was sent out early Monday after a Friday order. (I'm 72 miles from Indianapolis.
USPS on the other hand...[attachment=1,msg3035665]
Teresa took care of me as well. I ordered my Woodsman Classic jacket on Saturday 7/15, and it was delivered yesterday. And I live in Idaho.
Those evening green and browns look great. When I got mine they didn't have my size so I got the green buffalo plaid which I do like but if I was to get another one it be one of those green evening ones for sure.
I like it for Texas brush.

Evening stand brown has served me well over the years.
Just can't say enough good about the Asbell products .
:campfire:
Its good to see these still being made!
Can anyone help me out with the sizing - as I'm in Aussie and it'll be a royal pain to return it!
I'm 6'2'' tall, with an athletic build and 205#'s and to put an archery twist, a 29" draw...lol.
Cheers in advace...

Most likely Large. What size sport coat do you wear?
I just bought one, and had great luck using Teresa's sizing chart on the website.
So glad to see and hear that Teresa is selling so many of these new shirt jacks....
I haven't received mine yet, I told he to fill other's orders as its about to be August here. But so glad to hear others have received theirs and are posting about them.

Thanks Terry for giving up your place in line for others. I was amazed at how quickly I got my jacket, 5 days from ordering to my house, and 2 of those days were a weekend. Plus, I live way out in Idaho! :clapper:
NO worries Maclean.... great stuff all around... :campfire:
For those who have the new jackets...a question on sizing

I'm 5' 11" and 175 lbs. I ordered a large and it fits great. Shoulders and chest are perfect, sleeves are a bit long with my arms to the side, at full draw they too are perfect.
Everybody is built different, and height and weight don't tell the whole story. I used the sizing chart on the website and took good measurements. If there's any questions about fit, try reaching out to Teresa via email or phone, she knows more about these jackets than anyone.
I'd get a large but I would also email her if ya can. I'm 5'8 and 190 and the large is perfect and roomy enough to layer under if needed.
Anyone have a suggestion for the best pattern for hunting in poplar trees? I'm leaning towards the brown evening stand or the timber ghost. Any of you woolly guys have a preference in poplar trees?
Cheers!
DMC
Timber ghost would be a fine choice.

Hey Al
If it helps, I'm 5'11", 210lbs (but maybe not so athletic) with a 28-1/2" draw, and my size "L" Timber Ghost jacket fits perfectly.
Best
Lex
Thanks Gents!
I think large is gonna be my choice
Deer didn't even see me at 10 yards and I was on the ground with a cheap camo burlap backdrop. I was sitting on a couple milk crates with my Front exposed above my knees
I see a few are asking about sizing .....A call , email to Teresa would be in order.
With that said ....the sizing and fit are one very important factor with BOW HUNTING clothing .
Teresa coupled with Fred's (and likely many other bowhunters) knowledge has designed /manufactured Bowhunting apparel with near perfect fit !
I'm 6'2" and float between 220#-240# (winter insulation ;^)))
and the XL cut is perfect for me.....
one can't really go by draw length for these types decisions as everyone's draw length will vary even with near exact body types/size.....
This being the BUSY season for such ,but if one has more specific questions I would reach out to the manufacturer for more specific details. Just give them some time to respond , as this is a REALLY busy time of year .
"This is a picture of me wearing a gray LaClair longhunter wool pull over(under my vest)...also made by Teresa and XL as well" Same Great sizing/fit !
Best with your quest my friends.... and a BIG""THANK YOU"" Teresa for a great line of BOWHUNTER friendly products !!!
:campfire:
As Ralph mentioned it is a personal fit. I'm 5'10" and 230ish, size Large works for me. In Texas I don't have much layered under the top.
Like Michael (Wudstix), I don't go heavy under my Asbell jacket/longhunter . Usually light long tee that wicks , or that and my cycling windbreaker VEST (ultra light/thin)...I need more I add outter layers . Most often that is a fleece vest or my insulated/windbreaker lined vest......Some say I'm Hot Blooded so theres that ...but my system works great for me ....;^)) :campfire:
