Here's a bow I just finished, my wife calls it the flame thrower because it looks like it's on fire when it's in the sunlight.
It has curly maple limbs, quilted maple riser. Walnut accents and inlay.
55", 53# @ 27" draw.
Many thanks to Rich of Droptine Traditions for his advice on finish and dyes.
Hope you like it!
Dan

Thanks guys. I forgot to mention, thanks to Rich of Droptine Traditions for the advice on the finish and dyes. (Droptine 59 above)
I believe most state laws prohibit the taking of such pretty bows to the field. Target only I'm afraid.
Wow, it kind of looks like a Zipper with a grip made by Dale Dye. Pretty darn good combo if you ask me! Geez, you got skills!
 :clapper: :clapper:
Well, it's got those funny bent limbs so many of you guys are using, :^) , but that is an amazingly gorgeous piece of work. Seeing what can be done with good wood and curves is the one thing I miss about my longbows.

Bue--.

its friggen awsome!!!
NICE, really purdy!
Nice!
Thanks a lot for the compliments. I started it at the beginning of the year, but could only work on weekends and evenings. Have to fight poverty during the week, and do chores now and then also.
Danseitz, I made it with hunting in mind. A little blood and a few scratches won't hurt anything! Deer can't see orange....right?
Dan

Sweet Looking Bow...the talent on this site is amazing.
When you kill an animal with it, it will be extra special with equipment you made yourself. I'm jelous.
