My friend picked up a Bob lee t/d recurve today 60#@28". While at a fleamarket in north east ohio. The writing on the bow says made for Larry Osborn, the name seems familiar. Anyone know of him?
I checked and he's not a member here. Good Luck :campfire:
I knew him well . We went to Denton Hills together many times, he was also a good friend of John Rook .
Larry came out to ND and hunted the Badlands with me a couple of times and he also came to our camp for bear hunting in Manitoba .
He was one of the nicest people you could ever meet he always talked about retirement and what he was going to do after . It didnt work out within a year and a half after retirement he ended up with pancreatic cancer. It was very sad, he had just remarried after being single for 20 years and she died 3 months after Larry .
He loved the bow going to shoots and hunting and fishing . Larry lived close to Petersburg Ohio but in the country on what I think he said was the highest spot in Ohio .
Nice Tribute Tim. :campfire:
Thanks Tim for the information. I too was a friend of John rook and spent many days over his house speaking with him and his lovely wife Barbara and that's where I heard that name, thanks for putting the pieces together.
Sad news to hear, thats one of life's cruelties to him and his family. Thanks for posting Tim
Yes, I agree, nice tribute.
I also remember John Rook having someone read Tradgang threads to him.
