Does anyone recollect if BW ever made bows, around 1994, in all black ?
Thank you
Yes they did
Yes they did. I may still have one of there catalogs (a pamphlet at the time) showing a black bow option. One of the members here, Desert Dude, got one in a trade I believe and stripped the black off. Looked like a regular bow , no blemishes or inferior materials like one might suspect.
Indeed, my first Black Widow was a brand new 1987 HS60 all black 3 piece takedown. Still have it today. I had it reduced and refinished so it's now Black handle, blonde maple limbs with Diamondback skins. Absolutely stunning and still shoots incredible... :campfire: :goldtooth:
They used to offer it as an option in their catalog for a slight discount. Nothing wrong with it but wood appearance not up to their standards
Yes. I had a model HS.
They Made a model they called the MB it was an all black model that was the same as the MA II and III. Just painted black. This is a pic of my MB from 93 Alongside my MA III. I hit it with spray paint. :bigsmyl:
This is the HS model that KAZ was talking about. Never used mine as hard as KAZ did but they are a great little bow. They had a metal handle. At one time I had three of em long story...[attachment=1,msg3028316]
I am house/dog sitting today... kinda bored waiting for the big storm. Id like to hear the story.😁
Here is the old one Gary. Older version had a straight shelf, later it was radiused Great shooters.....[attachment=1]
NICE! Kinda got a hankerin for a 'all black' bow.
My first BW longbow (LBS) I believe was a 1992. Sadly, at 57# it became too much for me and I sold it.
