Title: wildernesshunt in a cultivated landscape
Post by: J from Denmark on February 15, 2023, 10:31:27 AM
Hey guys and girls
I always long for the wilderness, as many of you guys in here proberbly also can attest to...
I live in little Denmark where there are very little Wilderness
I do get to travel a bit and this year I am going to both New Zealand and Colorado  :goldtooth:
BUT... I always long for the wilderness so every year a friend and I do a hunt here in Denmark where we kind build the same experience as was it in a real wilderness area.
We do this by walking out, not driving... by building shelters, doing fire with firesteel, sleeping in the forest and last but not least, not bringing much food so we soon get to that feeling that when we hunt we want to kill something to get something to eat...
This year I made a neat little video of our short trip here before christmas
its on my youtube channel "Jacob Sandberg"
link is her if it works:
https://youtu.be/ymHFt4FVwMU
hope some of you wil get inspired or entertained by it
Best
Jacob

Looks like a great time.  Congratulations on the deer as well!  And don't sweat it.  Most of my buddies are compound bow only hunters.  It's still bowhunting. And they still wonder how I kill more that they do.

I was intrigued by the way you did that long log fire.  Never saw anything like it before. :o
