Finally! It's been too long. Went out for some fresh air last night and decided to take my RER bow - whix I haven't shot in several years. It just felt right. The area I went to had a ton of coyote tracks- I saw one rabbit and it was tucked deep in a burrow that offered no shot opportunity. I circled around- the snow was so loud walking in it I was sure alarmed every rabbit in a mile radius. I started to head back to the car as there was only a few minutes of shooting light remaining when I glanced over my shoulder to see a rabbit was sitting next to some brush about 18 or so yds. I adjusted my stance and quietly drew my bow- talking myself through the process- 'just be calm- now just like you were practicing at your apt'. I released the arrow- it flew true and smacked the rabbit in the head killing it instantly..
maybe this will be a good year for hunting...
I used a 145gr ace hex blunt- 600gr gold tip trad arrow w weighted tip.
The rabbit is not big- it's hard to find a wild one that is.

Nice little harvest there and great shot! Glad you were able to get out at least and pull the string on a critter. May your coming season be as bountiful in the venison dept. :clapper:

Love small game hunting, & Rabbit "Briar Racers" are about as good as it gets !
Congratulations , as they are a small target and most often one has to wield an arrow through brush to get it done ...
