All of my modern bows wear SBD skinny strings and I love them.
But, I just acquired an older Swift Wing that is not fast flight safe. Who makes a good B55 bow string? It would be nice if I can pick my colors and, since it has extremely narrow tips, some smaller loops would be appropriate.
At the top of this page is a sponsor list, several of them can make strings.
Jan 27 there is a huge trad show in Kalamazoo MI.
You could get one there if it's not too far from you.
If you search Traditional Bowstring Builders on facebook there are many folks on there who would be willing to help you out.

They are a trad gang sponsor.

I've been looking for a new string maker. I've noticed that any of the bigger makers will make a b55 string. I've noticed that Lost Nation a sponsor that I use quite a bit has them for $14.95 and I was looking at the 97 strings for $19.95. If these strings are any good at all,it would be so much easier to get them than calling and putting in a custom order.
Linda Brackenbury, wife of the late Jim Brackenbury, builds custom bow strings and she can gin you up a B55 Flemish for that bow in short order. You can find her on the WWW.
I'm a firm believer that its fun and rewarding to make your own tackle. You can make a simple flemish twist jig in a half hour and a string in 10 minutes. Dacron is cheap and you will have the potential to make unlimited strings for a few cents each.
