Couple riser blocks and a blank to cut veneers from for a customer , started last week but had 3 days of helping a bud and former boss this week running his excavator . His operator had heart probs early in the week so I stood in to load dirt.

Osage/Bocote ?
Very nice bro.
That will be a good looking one.
Yep Osage/Bocote/padauk/maple
Those wood colors look really nice together
nice kenny :bigsmyl:
That's nice Kenny 🏹
Looks good! Kind of subtle
Thanks folks, I think it will make a sharp bow. He's planning on a 3/4" thick G 10 in riser with a slice of riser block on each side.

Hopefully he'll offset the I beam so it doesn't foul up the riser footing running through the shelf cut out/ sight window.
Don't think he's gonna on this one, he wants 3/8" scales...

Those are surely going to make beautiful bows.

Howdy! I haven't made a bow in maybe five years, but I've made lots of knives as well as pecan pie and other things. Looking at what other people are doing on this form sure does awaken that bow-making urge, though. I miss it.

Hmm. I don't remember doing a lam splicing video. I do remember trying to do a Z splice on a build along, though, but that was all written. That was a long time ago, though, so my memory isn't perfect.
I don't think it was a video. Must have been a write up build along. It was the first time I had seen anyone do spliced laminations.
Anyways, good to see you here!
Pecan pie :jumper:
Pretty damn nice Kenny. JF
