I think this is Honduras Rosewood?

It's a little more Burgundy than the pic. shows
Have you made a bow with it?
Some places are harder than other places when shaping and thickness sanding.
Did you notice that?

I'm no help in identification but it sure is pretty.  Fun grain patterns with great tone variations.

MAX  I have made a couple using it for the handle- That being said I would use it sparingly in my Hill builds- Like a single belly lam...

I don't have any of the Honduran,  but I have a bunch of Bolivian Rosewood or Morado Walnut as it is also called.

I really like the rich warm tones of the Rosewood varieties.
