Well, Covid cancelled our hunts for a few years , and this one was going ahead finally , albeit cut short with cancelled flights out of Oz ...
Despite some close calls , and mine was really really , super extra close , no Red Stags were taken .....
But some Merriams ended up on the fry pan ...
Poison Darts and as ever , my Widow PL's got it done ... ACE and RMSG Cutthroat heads on Footed Doug Fir and Easton Axis got the job done [attachment=1,msg3006669]
Sub zero temps don't mean nufink with good wool thermals !
But nothing beats my solo pig from the same place last year ... a long time goal - an NZ mountain boar with my longbow and woodies
I'd move there tomorrow

agh, I gots ya ......
we have a few Tahr up higher where we go . Sat and watched them for a bit. Crazy odd animals in a lot of ways. I remember my first trip chasing them in 2011 up near Mt Cook .... an exercise in humility for sure . One day eh !
I'd love to join you in the mountains. Some day!
