Well Folks, this is the big weekend.... I'm moving!!
Talked about it for a lot of years, but the time has come.
Little Bear has a couple of his friends, for extra muscle. (God I wish I was in my 20's again)
All of the big heavy stuff goes today. Tomorrow, try and get all the rest....
"Missed odds & ends" I can bring up during the week.
I'll bring up our Plott hound "Brandi" Tuesday, and Wednesday morning, we'll be having coffee on the porch.... :coffee:
Good luck brother. Hope all goes smoothly
All the best. Moves can be exciting. I did it dozens of times in my life.
I was a military brat , so we moved often. I didn't like it, because whenever you made friends, you moved off and left them before very long. That made it tough on a kid to want to form friendships. Once my dad retired, we didn't move any more, which I think was a good thing. Finally, when I left home and married, we have lived in the same town for 49 years. This is where I made most of the friends that I have hunted with over the years. I have lived here longer than all the other locations combined. Now I own a small plot of land that has lots of deer and turkey. I won't be moving again. Woodchucker, I hope your move is a good one and that the transition is very smooth. Will this enhance your bowhunting opportunities? Since you contemplated this move for many years, it sounds like this is a very positive thing for you. Good luck.
Hope all goes well.
I hate moving, seems like you can't find things when you get settled and some things never show up again.
May God bless your new home.
Good luck on your new home. We moved a few times, first from Chicago area to AZ then to San Diego. Spent 40 odd years there. When wife retired back to AZ. Miss San Diego, the archery club and friends we made there.
Best of luck Chuck to you and your son. What town are you moving to?
Chuck you coming up to the Fingerlakes ?
Moving to Franklin, in Delaware County. Little town, about 400 people... :bigsmyl:
Last week I saw 2 small twin Bucks in the yard. That was cool!!
House has been empty for a while, but when we first went up to look at it the yard looked like a cow pasture with all the deer droppings. Last week, Tyler found a big pile of Bear dung in the yard, about 100ft from the porch.
No cell service. We have to get internet, and a land line hooked up.
I've got to get a new Email :help: But when I do, I'll be back!!!
Untill then... Shoot Straight Brothers!!!
Good luck chuck. Awesome area . Less striped bass and more world class trout fishing not to mention hunting and breath taking vistas.
Good luck on the move. A dear friend had a place in Hancock.
Looks like God's Country.
:campfire: :coffee: :archer2: :campfire:
Well folks, I'm Back!!! :archer:
I have greatly missed this wonderful place, and my "family"...
BUT!! I must say, this past month being "off the grid" has been absolutely WONDERFUL!!!!
Total peace & quiet... I've been working around the house, trying to get things fixed and organized.
Brandi, our Plott hound, takes me for 4-5 walks a day. (sometimes more LOL)
"C'mon Pop! gotta make a hound round!!
Have been shooting my bow a lot. I was going to build an arrow range... But, why?? I can shoot 100yds in any direction, and not hit anything. So, I bought a Morrel's Yellow Jacket broadhead target. I just set it out in the yard, and shoot at it with my Judos. I must admit, my shooting has gone to hell in a handbasket over the last few years!!
As for now, I can hit the block every shot 20-25 yards, and about half the time at 30-40 yards.
I'm getting better!! I'm sure by Deer Season, I'll be "in there"....
I have so much I want to share with you, and it's gonna take a while....
We just got our TV, Internet, and a land line hooked up Friday. Poor Little Bear has been going crazy, as his Pop's a computor dummy!! We had to dump my laptop and get everything set up all over again....
This last month has been very peaceful... But I'm glad to be back!!!
Good to hear Chuck. Best of luck 🏹
Living the good life!
Glad all is going so well chuck. Welcome back
