Title: Brace height for Kodiak Special?
Post by: Tom1958 on June 25, 2022, 09:31:14 AM
A friend asked me to teach him to shoot. I have an old hand-me-down 48# 66" Kodiak Special that I shot as a kid. In those days, I had no clue about brace height. I was given the bow with a string and I just strung it and shot it.
I'd like to get it shooting properly for my friend. What's the recommended range for brace height on these?
Thank you in advance.
Oh, I assume 63 inches is the proper string length, correct?

Glad you asked this.  I was out shooting mine yesterday after I made a string for it and was wondering about brace height.  I think I'm gonna shoot mine in some 3D this year.  ><> del

The 1962 Special, 66" bow, is between 7.5 and 8.5 brace height. http://nebula.wsimg.com/c680d4a9ea8e6c3c0f75f506395ba86e?AccessKeyId=A203C91555201A4407B4&disposition=0&alloworigin=1
