What are your sources for wood footed shafts? Thanks for your input.
Try the Archery Past or Raptor Archery both have had them .
Try the Footed Shaft.
Check with Andy At "Addictive Archery". I know he used to build them years ago.

I started a thread for an arrow maker myself and didn't see the footed shaft in the sponsor list? """"" I stand corrected its not in the drop down but its in the sponsor links thread,, I sent off an email....
I make my own. I got a couple dozen out of some straight grained poplar recently, then footed them with Padauk. They spined 60/65.
I could have sworn i already answered this.....
Andy Ponce is a friend of mine i've known for about 15 years.
I met him while shooting the first long bow i ever built at a 3D shoot. He was instrumental on developing my shooting form too. I shot 3D with him and his family for years. I used to save scrap hardwood for him when he got into building footed shafts years ago.......
I don't think he is selling footed shafts any more though. i looked at his web site and there was no listing. Andy is a great guy...
Btw.... I wasn't aware "the Footed Shaft" was a sponsor, or have i ever seen his work. Do you have photos of some of their stuff you can share? I think footed shafts are very cool.... Kirk
Man makes a recommendation based on his positive experience and we are supposed to question it ? I don't get it.
Way to aggressive, this should be forum that members can answer a simple question freely based on their own personal experience. Especially without the threat of retaliation. Kirk absolutely no explanation needed here.
No worries.... I'm pretty easy going, and enjoy helping folks when i can. If i step on somebody's toes unintentionally, i like to let em know i sure didn't mean to. I enjoy this forum.....You guys have a great day! :archer2: :archer2: :archer2:
I cleaned this one up.... :campfire:
Saw that. Thank you sir.

Those are some very cool looking shafts there brother.... Being a dyed in the wool wood worker, I'd really love to see photos of how you do that. I haven't played with building woodies in many, many years, but never attempted building footed shafts.
