Hope to C U there.
All registered , hope there will be a few tradgangers there. But somehow I doubt it.
Kevin
Sounds like a good shoot and place to recreate also, . I can go to a 3D shoot almost every weekend all year within an hour or so drive here in N. E. Il., gonna have to think about a vacation, do you still get spring snow storms at that time of year and how's the melt off as far as fishing is concerned
Yes and I don't know.
There's always a chance of snow in the mountains.
As far as water and runoff I'm not sure .
I'm in north idaho and the WSTR this year is in northeast Oregon which is basically southern idaho, high desert. Near the Columbia River, Louis n Clark . all that good stuff.
Hoping someone with more knowledge of the area with chime in.
I do know there's an area out there somewhere called glass Butte where you can collect obsidian right of the ground.
Kevin
Western States rondy was a favorite of mine for years, but I doubt I'll be there this year. I just blew out my knee and have an appointment with a orthopedic surgeon on the 11th. So I think I'll be passing on my spring 3D adventures this year...
It's a great get together. Kirk
The shoot is not high desert, it is in the Blue Mountains about 10 miles west of Lagrande Oregon. I doubt we will see snow, a little rain maybe. The site is right along the Grande Rounde River and is very nice country, might even see an elk or two. Hope to meet a few tradgangers there. If you are an early bird shooter, waterproof footwear is recomended, due to early morning dew, usually gone by 10am.
Ah Man.... That is some beautiful country near the Grand Ronde. I'm sad i'm going to miss this one.
I'd highly recommend making the trip to take this shoot in if you can. It's gorgeous up there.

Thanks for the clarification Larry, glad it's not high desert .
Looking foward to going, about a 5 HR drive from CDA idaho.
I see the courses will be open till 11am on Monday so I've made arrangements to stay Thurs pm thru Monday.
I'll wear my orange tradgang shirt i guess.
If enough TGers shown up we should meet somewhere and shoot a round together.
Kevin
If you and I are the only tgers there, that is enough for a round or two, but there will be more than us. At past WSTR the Californa folks had banners at their camp, should be able to find McDave, with you wearing orange might be able to find you. I will be easy to find, I will be the one with the longbow lol.
Ha right on, Longbow for me too.
I'll be looking for fellars.
Kevin
If I make it, I'll be the one arriving in my silver cocoon (Airstream), and whenever you see me, you'll probably see a black and white border collie more or less permanently attached by my side.
:campfire:
Would like to go but, work, work, work.
