Here lately there have been a lot of emotions and some bickering amongst us is beginning to rise. We are all human and it happens. That said, let me remind you that we have a
zero tolerance policy for disrespectful behavior. Expect to see those posts, threads, or members removed if we cannot behave.
This is on our mainpage as the guiding 3 rules of engagement...
- To offer a public access website for those that love the sport of hunting with traditional archery equipment - i.e., selfbows, longbows, and recurves.
- To create a friendly atmosphere to all. Dedicated to the discussion of all topics that relate to traditional bowhunting.
- To support traditional bowhunting and archery manufacturers, vendors, services and organizations - good folks that have their hearts and souls poured into the sport.
- Expect to be respected if you decide to join the gang, because the rule of respect is held highest of the few rules that apply. Tradgang.com has a zero tolerance for disrespect directed to anyone. If you want to disagree, then please do so in an adult manner. Debate is healthy, as one sword sharpens another, but it must be done in an honorable fashion.
Admin isn't trying to be hard nosed or mean. Our goal is to promote a family friendly site for generations to come and learn about the sport that we love in a
positive environment. Sometimes even we as admin may make questionable calls but in general if it's in the grey area and not clearly friendly or not, it may be pulled. It isn't personal when this happens, it is just us grooming the site to promote a positive place for us to enjoy. Debate is healthy and encouraged. Cursing, name calling, flying off the deep end, being a keyboard worrier, etc is not...often
how you say something is just as important as what is being said.
The above concept can be rephrased in a couple other ways...
- Be nice, or be gone.
- "treat people the same way you want them to treat you" - Matthew 7:12 NASB
If the above is unclear or you have questions about something questionable, just ask us first before you post it.
Thank you for keeping this site , a safe place to come, and be part of a family of like minded people. Amen
And let me be the 1st to apologize as I got a little broadside last week over cancel culture I'm sure.

We all have. And for the rest of the gang let THIS post be a reminder that even we as admin hold ourselves to this standard. Terry and I have gone back and forth reviewing each other's posts over the past couple of weeks because we ourselves were upset too and we want to be a part of a
positive influence in traditional bowhunting.
Good post, Garrett..
 :campfire:
Garret & Terry - this is a great reminder for all of us.
I also want to say a huge thanks for all the work you guys do as admin for Tradgang!!
WELL SAID. Thanks for the reminder.
Thank you for your work and efforts in keeping this a good place to visit. So much seems to be going wrong. Tempers are short all over. Grateful this is a place to have fun.
Copy that.
Good reminder. Though I try to self-regulate (I've typed and deleted several comments before they were ever posted over the years), I expect that should I ever cross the line, y'all will call me on it.
There's a reason this is the only forum in which I participate.
  that's what sets Trad Gang apart from all others

I'm glad to see this post. I hope this pushes the gang back on track.

Everyone gets their knickers in a twist now and then....
TradGang, is a FAMILY!!! Those of us who treat it as such, apologize and move on.
All families "fight"... But when the fight is over, you're still FAMILY!!

Debate is good and healthy. Lack of respect is not. There is an honorable way to disagree and ALL of those posts stand. It's the rude, hateful, divisive, etc posts that get removed.
If in doubt deal through private messages. We also have a report the post button on the bottom of every post. You guys are welcome to flag anything questionable and admin will be notified review it on a case by case basis.
Yeah Ronnie, I'm curious as well. Speak up!
