I have a buddy that is looking for a beginner bow for his son. He is currently shooting one of my older recurves but wants his own. I know he could step into a decent bow cheap but he doesn't want to spend much over 150. So the question is what is a good entry level bow with good reviews for that money? PSE, Sammik?
He said he was looking at a southwest tigershark? I don't know much about this bow and was wondering if anybody could give me feedback so I can steer him the correct direction.
Thanks,
Matt
Black Hunter in either recurve or longbow is available for less than $150. I don't own one, but have shot them. Very good bow for the money.
Hey Matt, I have a galaxy ember that I got from Lancaster. For the money it is great. The option of interchangeable limbs is a bonus. New limbs are like a hundred bucks. I chose Lancaster over other suppliers for their service.

+1. I am impressed with one I bought for my grandchildren.
I also agree on the Black Hunter either recurve or longbow.
I bought one for the archery club here at school last year and was really impressed with it. Cheaper than a Samick Sage and also a better shooting bow as well! I actually have two more ordered for the club that should be getting delivered either today or tomorrow.
Shot my best buck last year with a 40 lb. Black Hunter and a single bevel Grizzly, pass thru.
Just ordered another one for my granddaughter! Nice smooth bow!
The Black Hunter is quite impressive. Am currently using one to train new archers.. May spend well over 4X and still not have a better bow.hoping
