Michael,
I have owned the black one and two of the leather ones and I prefer the leather ones .
I have an Extra large due to my bad hand and have used it a few times but it's a bit large on me and I should of just bought the large one which I still use .
They last a long time and my favorite to be honest.
They are very much like the Damascus glove to me and hold up well.

I have used the bear paw leather type it is one of the best gloves I've shot over many years.

I've got two and like them. They do require a bit of work to break them in IMHO but overall are a good product. I also like the dura glove which I find needs no break in   but has softer leather which seems to wear out faster.

Have a large leather and nylon tips one winging it's way to me now, just wanted to know a bit more of what to expect.  Thanks Keith, et al.

I think they're good and what I use but the Velcro attachment stinks. Barely stays put after a bit

I just bought one a few months ago and so far I don't like it. I bought it because I shoot the black glove from Bearpaw and love that one also the summer one in warmer weather. Maybe it will take a little more time to get broke in. I'll update later. The biggest issue I see out of any of the bearpaw gloves is the velcro. It doesn't take long before it won't stick together.

Might have to get some Velcro to upgrade.  Mine should be here shortly.  I plan to use it for the marathon 3-D multiple courses or classes, or breaking in a string sessions.

Wudstix, have you tried the black glove (used to be called the winter glove) or the summer glove from Bearpaw? Just me, but I think they are best gloves out there for the money. The nylon finger tips doesn't take any breaking in at all. They have good string feel and seems to last forever. I have a summer glove that I have shot for over 2 years now and the finger tips are still as good a new. No creasing or string groove. I shoot it during practice so I don't have to put any more wear on the velcro on my hunting glove. If they could just figure out how to make the velcro last as long as the finger tips it would be perfect. lol

I just need glove for extended shooting sessions.  Use a Rick Barbee tab to hunt and for 30 target 3-D courses.  We'll see how the Bodnik leather glove works, also have a Big Shot Elk Glove by American Leather coming, so I'll have options.

I tried about 4 different gloves when I was trying to 'find' my style. The Speed glove was the best out of all the gloves I tried and they were all name brand recommended ones. I did however settle on a tab. I still have the gloves and I still try and shoot with them. The Speed gloves held up real well, very well built and great price. I don't think you can go wrong if you choose to shoot one.

I use them.  Great glove imo but on lighter bows the Duraglove serves me well too.
The summer glove mentioned is great for scout camp bows but I'm too much of a sissy to use it on hunting weight bows.😧

Should hold up well with my 63-70# recurves and longbows.  Getting excited.

I'm two years into my last speedglove and it is still going strong.  Last year I bought a crossover and bigshot glove and used each about three times and went back to the speedglove.  It is the best I've found for me.

I have a Bigshot and am not a huge fan of it. The fingerstalls develop really bad string grooves very quickly which make a clean release really difficult.

Might look into a speed glove

Try some Coconut oil on the nylon like Rick Barbee recommends on his tabs.

Once they break in, they are the best IMO

Well didn't get my Bodnik Speed glove, yet.  But to Big Shot glove arrived today.  Just got done putting 5 dozen arrows through it.  The first several were a bit awkward, but after I got used to the slightly different anchor needed with the glove over the Barbee tab, things started to look up.  I can see that this glove will be a big help during the extended shooting sessions that I sometimes have.  The glove slows me down a little and that can be a benefit.  I'll still hunt with the tab.

Received the Big Shot glove several days ago and have put @22 dozen arrows through it.  It is definitely a drastic change from a Rick Barbee tab.  Settled in, got used to the feel and was shooting it fairly well.  Should have bought the XL.  Large is a bit of a squeeze.  This afternoon, the Bearpaw Bobnik speed glove showed up, it is the black version.  I shot @4 dozen arrows through it before dark.  It is very pleasant to shoot and almost feels like shooting fingers.  I think this would be a hunting option, for me.

I liked that my 6yo one is still functional and still a great backup.  The new one had a one shooting session breaking period.  Also you can smack a wasp in the blind with it and the stinger won't penetrate the finger.  Hate those big red buggers. :biglaugh:

I've seem the black glove, and for Texas summers that may be the ticket.  The Speed glove is awesome, but leather gloves in 100* heat is not the best.  That's why I shoot the Rick Barbee tab, but after 8-10 dozen arrows my pinkies start to get sore.  Perhaps a Bodnik glove in the back pocket at some of the big shoots would pay off.

I think Rick makes a fine tab.  I actually need to order a large because although my fingers measure a medium when straight my ring finger bends crooked due to an old injury, sticks off to the side on the end and takes a rip from the string.
That said it's not easy to get away from the glove when it doesn't crease, smooth release, always in place on my fingers and holds up for thousands and thousands of shots.
As far as hot and sweat, this is Texas.  You're not gonna escape that.  My work boots and work gloves are soaked with sweat every day in the summer and they are leather.  Set em out in that sun a bit and they dry.😆
Today you'd need a lined glove though.  No sweat involved.

Doesn't look like that in San Antonio!!!  We had rain all night and it just stopped.

Are the sizes of the Big Shot and Speed Glove similar?

No, large speed glove fits great, as I always get large.  Big Shot they have a measure and my left hand is large but right hand is XL.  Or your can trace your hand and send it in, so they can fit you.  So I have a Large Big Shot that needs a home.

I've been shooting the leather  Bodnik speed glove for several years now.Hold up very well. I ordered 2 large one for a backup. They we're both a little snug at first so I got the leather wet and shot a few dozen arrows on different days each time wetting the glove. Now they fit perfectly conformed to my fingers.
Good luck

I dropped the hammer on a Bodnik Black glove from the bay, as well.  We'll see when it gets here.  Really am impressed with the speed glove.

I may just order two different sizes and send the one that don't fit back.

Just measure from your wrist to the tip of you middle finger like they say and it will get you in the money.  I measured the wrong hand not thinking they would be different.

I agree with the velcro being weak.  Other than that,  I like the gloves.

Now have ordered both the Bodnik Speed glove and Black glove.  Think the black glove will be good for Texas summer shots or hunting.

The Bearpaw Bodnik Black glove was waiting when I got home from LTR.  I think that it is as nice as the Speed glove, but time will tell.

Bodnik gloves are Aces.  Perhaps when I get the correct size AL Big Shot I'll like it as well.
