Been lurking a while, reading a lot of the old posts. I have been making a return to archery/hunting this year and enjoying every minute of it. I have 4 bows currently, 3 recurves, and 1 long bow of my own making. Really fun project, and will probably be doing it again soon enough. Here is a pic of the finished bow, comes in at 32# @ 28". Made from oak dimensional lumber from the local box store. https://photos.app.goo.gl/y2ZGWYcVhb3EAsuR6 (https://photos.app.goo.gl/y2ZGWYcVhb3EAsuR6)

Glad your enjoying your rebirth into archery in the last year.Enjoy your trip!
Welcome!!!!! :campfire:
Yes, welcome!!! :campfire:
Welcome to the "gang" Ethan! Your bow looks very nice! I have never attempted such a thing. I'm a hobbyist woodworker. This means I buy perfectly good lumber and turn it into scrap in my mower shed. :goldtooth:
Welcome ,You will learn a lot here . Nice Bow
Welcome to TG and very nice bow.

lol....too many bows, not enough space. I have heard it both ways.
Cool looking bow! I've seen professionally made bows that don't look that good. If it shoots as well as it looks, you're really on to something. There is a magazine called "Primitive Archer" that sometimes features bows made by readers that you might want to check out, if you haven't already.

Thank you!
Try not pay too much attention to those carbon shafts....they are what I had in an roughly appropriate length and spine for testing . https://photos.app.goo.gl/fpcdKMxPN3PXC8TR6 (https://photos.app.goo.gl/fpcdKMxPN3PXC8TR6)
Pull a stump up to the fire and take a sit.

Thank you! Should be walking the woods on Saturday, it's rabbit/hare season right now. Working on getting my Sage dialed in for turkey at the end of April.
Welcome sir!
That is a great looking bow.
Who knew Home Depot had such things hiding in the lumber racks?!
Glad to have you aboard.

Sometimes you really have to dig, or even visit several of their stores....you would be surprised what you come out with.
I really appreciate the welcome, it's good to be here.
