I had back surgery in October, and today is the first day the doctor has allowed me to shoot a bow. So, I strung up my 40# Cheetah and flung a few arrows. Man, did it feel good! Yes, this has been an important day. I only shot about 25 arrows, not wanting to overdo things on my first time back in the game. Did I say it felt good to be shooting again? I do have some conditioning work to do as well as some refresher form training to get back up to where I was before the surgery. All in all, it was a satisfactory event. With a little luck, I may get in a few hunts before the season closes.
Sam, that's good news, but let's not hurry. Don't worry about the rest of this season. Good luck.

Like you said Sam just take it slow. DR. said he wouldn't try shoot a bow again after replacing my shoulder, he said just get a crossbow. My PT guy said "no reason you can't shoot a trad bow, just do what I tell you and you will be fine". That was 3 yrs ago and I have killed a deer every year for the last 3 years in a row. This years buck was the largest buck of my 70 plus years! Just go slow.
