I would like to plan an out-of-state hunt next season somewhere between late October and February. My job makes it hard for me to have time to hunt from June through mid-October. After that, I will have tons of time to hunt. I have never hunted whitetail deer or hogs so they are high on my list but I am open to anything. I would prefer to hunt big game on public land with my budget unless a lease/trespass fee is "reasonable". Hunting out west we only get one maybe two tags to hunt a year so a target rich environment could be fun for me. I don't need to know your secret spot but if you have any advice on states and hunt ideas I would love to hear from the Gang members. Thanks, Jim
Every year at Horse Creek wild life management area in Georgia a group of mostly trad hunters gather .In mid October . I've been three times and am from Florida .
MO tags are pretty reasonable for whitetails , fountain grove wildlife area is partly archery only as is Indian creek lake (poosey state forest? ) near Chillicothe , mo
We have some pretty good deer around sometimes, this one showed up on my little farm a couple days ago ...

I guess Indian Creek Lake is no longer archery only...

You may want to contact Jerry Russell. He can put you in an area where you are likely to see both deer and hogs. I think you will like him.
