I was blessed enough to take doe #2 and whitetail #2 for the season last night.
The shot was between 18-20yards. I forgot to step it off with all the action that occurred after I shot her, including an encounter with a mature buck that got away. The arrow broke her front left femur on impact. The arrow stayed in her, but penetrated out the far side of her.

I guess an arrow that heavy will break a leg bone and keep going! Congrats!
Nice!
Way to go sir!
Congrats!
I think the femur is in the back leg though!
Bisch
Congratulations Sir!
Congrats James!
Bisch, you are correct and I stand corrected. The femur was not broken since it is in the back leg. The arrow broke the humerus bone in the left front leg. Thank you to everyone for the congrats and attaboys.
Top stuff right there James
Well done :clapper:
Love those heavy wooden arrows myself too.
Best

The heavy arrows really did their job well on her. So did the broadhead. She was down after a forty to fifty yard run on three legs.
Fire up the grill. :bigsmyl:
Good hunting right there!
