I'm looking for a new book to read and and to the collection. Thinking something by Roger Rothhaar.
Any suggestions?
Whitetail magic.
The Traditional Way and Toxicated by Fred Anderson are great reads.
Barebow by Dennis Dunn. One of, if not the greatest bowhunting books I have ever read!
The boigraphy about Paul Schafer called Silvertip.
Roger Rothhaar only wrote two books.
In pursuit of trophy whitetails, and Whitetail Magic.
Here are some oldies but goodies.
Bowhunting For Deer - H.R. "Dutch" Wambold (1964)
Bows and Bucks - Walter Perry ( 1953 )
Want to list what you have? Roger's is for sale in the Sponsors Classifieds. Got Charlie Lamb's?

I don't have any of Rogers books, that's what I was leaning that way.
Thx for the suggestions guys!
Love Roger's books. The Wensel brothers are good. How about "Bowhunting's Whitetail Masters" by Dan Bertalan? It's great.
Can't go wrong with either Roger Rothhaar's or the Wensel's books.
Charlie Lamb's book is fantastic. I'm reading Toxicated by Fred Anderson now (it's the book that stays in my hunting pack for long sits). I've heard good things about Rathaar's books, and look to acquire them as well.
This conversation reminds me that I need to revisit some of the Wensel books I have...always worth a read!
Do you have any of the Wensel's books ? Don Thomas "longbows in the far north? "
Rogers books are highly recommended as well since you don't have them.
Anything and everything by the Wensel's
I have a suggestion that is superbly written and supported by amazing photos. I think it would "scratch your bowhunting itch" and touch your heart, as well! Great book from a fine man!
Bowhunting: A Passion for Life by Monty Browning:

Mr. Browning's book is top notch, I'm in the process off re-reading it right now. A new one I picked up this year is Marv Clyncke's book "Son of the Longbow", lots of big mule deer and big horn sheep. Not much else to add to the above lists. bows on the Little Delta by Glenn St. Charlse, I assume you have "Fred Bear's Field Notes"?
I love Chester Stevensons' "From the Den Of The Old Bowhunter".
Not specifically hunting related, but is about a winter spent alone in the mountains tending to salmon eggs in a headwater out west. Have read and recommended many times.
The Indian Creek Chronicles
I just finished "Son of the Longbow" by Marv Clyncke. It is a very good read and Marv is a great story teller.
Fred Bear's Field Notes, Trailing a Bear, Bows On the Little Delta are all good.
I'll second Dennis Dunn barebow.
Not only a good read but would make an excellent door stop. ( it's a big book)
Kevin
All of the above are good. I like E. Donnell Thomas' writing as well. Have a signed copy of Charlie's that I need to get reading.
