So my question is, looking at some 175 -250 gr broadheads haven't picked the ine I want yet Tuff head or Valkyrie heads. My problem is I love tonstump shoot, but they only make judo to 125gr the best i know?
Want same weight practice points as broadheads for obvious reasons? What do you all use for stump shooting to keep arrows from getting lost
Check out these https://www.3riversarchery.com/judo-small-game-glue-on-point.html at 3 Rivers. Also these https://www.3riversarchery.com/steel-screw-in-broadhead-adapters.html Between the two, you should be able to get the weight you want.
Thanks just that easy somebody knew what the heck they were doing that's exactly what I can do I can get them within 5 g of what my broadheads will be that's perfect don't know why I didn't think of that
Just so ya know not all glue on Judos are the same weight...I bought 6 packages this spring and they weigh between 135 and 150 grn :dunno:
You want something that you can just screw in, not worry about breaking and weigh what their advertised, then get you some VPA SGH's! Knock on wood, haven't lost an arrow yet or wore out a tip!
Those VPA Look good only thing I worry is they would skip or get buried under the Pineneedles or brush those judo sure hang up good flip up don't get buried and lose your arrow, but I may have to try some they look super tough
I am an Ace Hex Head fan. The Hex Head points come in a screw on weight range of 125-200grains. They are tough and less costly. You can pair them up with an Adder collar(25gr) or a Grasshopper(25gr) collar to minimize burying under grass and duff. I have found the HexAdder combo to work well for stumps and grouse.
Nice. Where did you find those grasshopper collars at
I do not recall where that Muzzy Grasshopper adapter came from, it has been in the box for awhile. ?? maybe somebody else can help?
I got the Adders from Cabela's and I think 3Rivers sells them as a Tiger Claw replacement claw.
I have been using the VPA - SGH for years. I do watch what I shoot at and have lost one but they are strong and out last the Judo's.
I put a steel adapter on a glue-in Judo and it is close to 200 gns.
