Well things change, was going to get up in the air this year with a climbing tree stand !! Got a nice alone Wolf from a fella here on the site. Now I'm having some back issues. I don't feel that should be going up any trees at this time. So I wii be back in the pac-seat and doing it from the ground. Here is my set up , I always set up by a windfall or some king of cover!
Staying flexible in setups keeps you in the game-good on you for not losing sight on how to proceed. More important to be out there than whining about what if's.

Yup, they won't come pry ya off the couch!
Good luck Ron!! They can be killed from ground level just as dead as from a treestand , a ghillie jacket sure helps too.

Ron,
Have you had good luck off the ground with your pac seat ? I also have one and enjoy hunting in it. This is how I setup in one location

Good Idea, Ron!!! and Good Luck!!!!
Ever notice that squirrels, don't fall out of trees....?? But, PEOPLE do!!!! :readit:
That's a nice seat but seems a bit laid back for shooting, No?
I hunt from the ground and use a Millennium Tree seat. It too has its flaws, one being able to locate a tree to mount it where I want to be. I would like to check out your seat in order to alleviate that issue but if it's too laid back for shooting it'll be a non starter for me. do you have any issues shooting from that.
Had a couple misses, one non fatal hit, and a bunch of to close encounters. Deer were so close that I could count eye lashes, your set up looks like mine !!
So far I have never had any issues shooting from it !!
The nice thing about the Pac Seat is you can adjust the straps on the seat and legs to give a more upright sitting position.
I'll be hunting in mine a lot this fall. Just don't forget to practice from it in advance.
Good luck Ron! Hunting from the ground is exciting! :archer2:
All ready to go..... pack-seat and a pair of River Runners !!

That one with the beaver tail grip is nice,it looks like a low wrist.
It's a medium grip, a copy of a 1960 Kodiak!! Also a dual shelf!!
Very nice! I didn't know he made any dual shelf recurves.
I have 3 of his recurves that are dual shelves and 2 longbows. He was an amazing bowyer !! I miss him .......
Good luck Ron. Hope your back heals up
Nice looking bows Ron! I have an Osprey i'll be hunting with. Good luck this year.
