I know some of y'all have put two sets of string grooves on some bows to have two different string/bow lengths. Anybody got pics? Especially on glass bows.
I'm thinking about trying it on my current build, but worried about creating a weak spot at the shorter groove when utilizing the longer.
I did one but ground the end off , didn't like the looks or the real long tip on the shorter string
I thought they only did that on old style ELB's to counter set from long strung times.
Long strung times? Man that sounds weird and I just wrote it!
There is an Australien bowyer who does it. He makes some beauties. Flatline Bows.
I put a double on one end for a para cord bow stringer, I thought about a double nock bow but for the slight difference in poundage I decided not to. I make the lower limb nock slightly wider to hold the string with the para cord loop over it.
Thanks for the pic Bue.
I see what you mean Kenny. Not sure I would like it either. Especially since I would be shooting mostly with the shorter string.
Eric, that's more of what I had envisioned but just further apart. Same as you, I was thinking it would make for a few pounds lighter. Kinda concerned that the short groove would be a weak spot while shooting in the long groove.
Current build?
I don't see no darn pichers?
Yea yea.
Got the limbs mounted and profiled last night. I'll try and get some pics up later. Busy moving sheep around today.
Oh I didn't know you were involved with sheep?
I don't own a one.
But my daughter has about ten. So I play chauffeur :biglaugh: :biglaugh:
Cool...
Ask and you shall receive :wavey:
Still need to get limb tips on and finish sanding.
