It's been awhile since I last posted. Haven't built a bow for about 6 years and wanted to start back up doing something different. I would like to start making my own parallel and tapered lams. Has any one heard of or used "The Hog Thickness Sander ".
Wait for it..............
Mad Max
Yes it works really good
How do you thickness sand a hog?
V.e.r.y. carefully...
You will need a good band saw to cut you lam blanks, a table saw can work too.

Max, what is your power source? I want to get started with one of these but I can't seem to come up with power that's not an arm and a leg 😕
Old 1/4HP fan motor
Thanks, I wondered if 1/4 would be enough.
It won't slow down with a 1/4 HP motor
