Mojam in 2 weeks who is going?
me :bigsmyl:
What do you all do at this "Mojam"?
Flint knapping, selfbow building, vendors, Camping, Women, kids and big kids, flight bow shoot, just about everything.
Missouri Selfbow Jamboree (MoJam) :)
Really the event that got selfbow building really going back in the early 2000s. Tim Baker, Dean Torges, and Jim Hamm were at the first one, just to name a few.
A meet and greet might be fun, if there are enough going.
100/150 people
Lots going on
I think I learned more about glass bows reading Baker and Hamm on self bows than any other source.
Lonnie i think it is only about 1.5 hours from you.
Yessir. I used to be a regular down there, it was a lot bigger then. I met many fine people, most of which aren't on here any more, 'cept for Gifford, he still pops up here and there.
1 hour and 42 min. Skeater
Come on down Kenny's coming on Saturday I think?
We could be the 3 Musketeers or 3 Amigos Si :dunno:
Bring your Horn e hat
I'm getting there late on the 13th
Skeaterbait - You Rang? Yep, I'll be there, Good Lord willing and the creek don't rise (more than it has already).
I think our camp will be attendance; Larry, John, Bob, and Rob, but we couldn't convince Sal to 'come on down'.
In the early years, there were a lot of folks soaking up knowledge and how to like a sponge. New regional bow meets have reduced attendance and conflicts with other shoots, like the IBO. So it's a more laid back bunch these days, heck, we're 20 plus years older. We've picked up new regulars, and lost others.
There have been a lot of names that stood out for certain. Ferrett, Sparky, Dano, David Mims... lots more
I'll be there sometime Monday afternoon and will be setup in my hammock for the week.
Kyle
Tuesday evening for me.
What night is Pizza night Kyle? :bigsmyl:
Mark, if you see Lennie have one of his beers for me.
Don't forget your camera and don't forget to take pics. :readit:
Hey Kyle, glad to hear you plan on being there. You may want to consider a rain cover for your hammock, perhaps a tent might be in order.
I'm good with any evening of the week. We can't miss pizza night. .
I've upgraded my setup a little since last time. I'm not concerned with getting wet now. Though I may have to dig out the bug net this year.
Kyle
hey Kyle, looks good, packing the bug net might be a good idea. Ya never know bout them bugs. C-Ya soon.
Kyle, if the ticks are anything like up here, they'll chew the legs off yer bed and carry ya off in the nite...
I may have to tie off some guard giunaes to keep the ticks away!
Kyle
:biglaugh:

Lot's of Happy people that evening.
