Title: Herters arrows
Post by: PrimitivePete on June 13, 2021, 06:01:14 PM
I picked up a few Herters yellow POC arrows and a few came with Ram broadheads attached. I mostly bought them as a collecters item but the heads surprised me that they don't have an edge to them. Was this normal ?

I remember way back some broadhead manufactures sold broadheads with unground edges to be used for practice. Back then we didn't have foam targets, we had to use hay bails or if you were lucky you had a pile of sand to shoot broadheads into.

A quote, "if you can't kill it with a four blade Herters, you can't kill it."

My first set of arrows were yellow Herters POC.  Used them two seasons and moved to Herters Aluminum.  My dad moved to Herters Farbenglass.  We always used Bear Razorheads, but just this afternoon I found a brand new box of Herters Magnum 2-blade heads.  They are sharp in the box.

Yes, the ones I bought way back were sharp.
