I got a set of Traditionals from 3 Rivers and my fletcher wont work with 5" feathers that I have a bunch of. Any suggestions?
I finally broke down and got a Bitzenberger. I have done 9/32 with it with no problems.
With 5 inch Rick,?
I did some five inch on some 1916 aluminum that came out really nice. The carbons were four fletch four inch.
Ok, I'm just wanting to know about skinny carbons and 5 inch fletch. Thanks Rick.
I use GT micros and fletch them using the BPE Pro Fletch from 3rivers. My current setup is 4 2" feathers. I have used the BPE to do anything from straight to helical, 2"- 5 1/2" feathers.
I have been running skinnys for the last few years (Day Six now) and can get everything done with a Bitzenburger. with a slight offset and no helical you should be able to run 5" but honestly wouldn't recommend it. The smaller diameter requires less guidance in the rear with a well tuned arrow. I run some with 3 4" helical, but my go to is 4 3" with a heavy helical. You would not believe the difference it makes in wind, especially if you are making "longer" shots.
My elk setup for this year with 4 3" on day six arrows
Thanks guys, but I am NOT interested in 2 or 3 inch fletching. Not at all.
I have done Gold Tips with either a Jo Jan or Bitzenburger and five inch helical with excellent results.
Fletched many easton axis shafts with my jo jan no problems. I shoot 4 fletch 5 1/2 inch feathers.
I use as much offset as possible and helical clamps.

Many thanks Ryan, just what i wanted to hear!
I run 5" helical 3 fletch with great offset on Easton Axis 5mm FMJ & standard with no trouble on my Right Helical Bitzenberger...
