I am very excited to finally be getting back into archery, and I'm awaiting my first ILF style bow which I'm stoked about! I'm in lower AL, and I hope to shoot a few tournaments in 2022. I noticed both the Howard Hill and ASTB shoots do not allow elevated rests, but I was wondering if there are restrictions on max build up of the shelf and/or side plate. Every org has different rules, so I thought it best just to ask for clarity!
I'm getting a TT Titan II, and was looking to build a hump out of wood on the shelf (covered by a thin material), and build out the strike plate with wood (also covered in thin material), but I wanted to make sure that would be allowed. No danger of me winning anything lol, but I want to follow the rules regardless!
You can shoot any rest you want to if you don't turn in a score card.
If you turn in your score card the rest you describe would be OK, there is nothing in the rules to determine where the shelf is in relation to your hand.
Thank you Eric; I thought that would be the case but wanted to confirm. Hope to see you guys in the future!
