Guys, there was a forum a few years ago that I used to access, I believe it was of the same name as this thread title: Howard hill longbowmen.
It had a few thousand threads with very detailed analysis of all aspects of hill style archery, especially form and analysis of swing draw mechanics.
I cannot seem to be able to find it or it's parent site any longer? Would love to access the information contained in it, as there were some serious hill-style shooters having serious hill discussions, and I need some of that in my life right now.
Anyone have any info for me on it?
No, I'm not thinking of turning my back on tradgang anytime soon. :campfire:

"H H Bug got me, part 2" with 5620 responses, was about a dozen posts below yours this morning. It may be the one you're looking for.
Actually it was not through tradgang. It was through a separate organization. Could have sworn it was through traditional archery society. But on their forums, although they have subforum with this title, if it is the same forum, all of those threads that used to be there are gone...did something happen over there recently, or has my memory failed me and it was on another site from that one.
I know someone here knows.
This is from Rob's post:
"After over 1000 pages and 15000 posts, the original ""HH bug got me" thread hit a forum software threshold and refused to work, so that thread has been fixed and this one continues the great tradition of the original American flatbow, the Howard Hill Longbow!"
Don't know if this is it or not....

I know I'd like to have some of those patches!!!
The forum you're referring to was on the old Traditional Archery Society website. When they redid the website, they lost all of the old posts. :banghead:
Try dickwightman.com he had a strictly HH site. Although it is not active the info parts are still there.

That's the one I remember, and belonged to for awhile. I believe Dick Wightman, the originator, was not in good health, and had to give it up. Great site, though, and lots of good info, still, there.
I think your looking for the old TAS site. It was replaced and all the old info was lost....it was a great loss of one of a kind content. :banghead: The 2 long Hill threads that live here are still available though and have a ton of info also. :campfire:
God what a tragedy. I knew it. How could they let that data just be lost?
Totally lost and almost unobtainable to retrieve are pretty darn close and very expensive. What no back up??? I suppose that is expensive as well.
