Title: more sad news about Gary Davis(update 4/8/21)

I just heard that Gary Davis had a very bad stroke affecting his speech and he can't walk. For those that don't know who Gary is, he is one of our modern pioneers in selfbow building.
Please keep Gary in your thoughts and prayers.

I'm so sorry to hear that, Gary has helped probably hundreds of people that wanted to build a self bow, he has a heart of gold. Prayers sent for him.

This is from Pappy this morning...

Matt(Wirwicki) just talked to Steve, Gary's son and said it was a stroke, a bad one, no visitors because of the virus so Even Steve don't know a lot, but don't sound good at all.  :(

One year at ETAR/Denton, I spent 3 days going between Gary and Dean Torges as they both took an interest in teaching me how to make a selfbow. It was like earning a college degree. Prayers coming your way Gary and family for a full recovery.

I remember watching Gary put on demonstrations at some of the very first GLLI shoots in the mid eighties.  This was when traditional archery and shoots like GLLI were all that we had to get together and share knowledge.  Prayers for Gary and his loved ones.

Here's an update.  Gary is showing some positive signs.  The hospital is moving him to a rehab room for physical therapy.  The hospital requested bringing in some of his own clothes, for comfort as they begin the rehab exercises.
