I just heard that Gary Davis had a very bad stroke affecting his speech and he can't walk. For those that don't know who Gary is, he is one of our modern pioneers in selfbow building.
Please keep Gary in your thoughts and prayers.
Sorry to hear that. Thats a terrible thing I would not wish on anyone.
I don't know of Gary, but now I'm curious.
Sorry to hear that, Pat..
Even up here I have heard of Gary Davis and Rattlestick bows. Remember reading he had very good Osage staves. Hope he will recover.
Bummer
He is a really nice guy
This is from Pappy this morning...
Matt(Wirwicki) just talked to Steve, Gary's son and said it was a stroke, a bad one, no visitors because of the virus so Even Steve don't know a lot, but don't sound good at all. :(
Pappy
That's a shame. Gary is a good guy.
That's truly bad news, spoke with him last fall and had the privilege of meeting him several times at MoJAM. He's a real gentleman. Our thoughts and prayers will be with him.
Sorry. I will pray for him. George
That's a shame Gary is a Great Guy ! Get better soon ! Prayers
I always made it a point to go to his spot at Cloverdale. He always had lots of selfbows done and several for folks to finish and he helped them . Super nice guy.
Bob from Ace broadheads has one of Garys bows It is a really clean piece of Osage. cant remember the length but pretty long 102 @32 I think.
I have his DVD rattle snake bows, watched it many times....
