I just got word that long-time member Bernie Dunn (ber643 was his username, I believe) passed away yesterday.
I hope his soul flies straight and true, into the hands of God.
Sad to hear 🥲, praying for his family left behind.
I don't know a whole lot about Bernie, but I know we shared an affinity for Kokopelli designs. He would travel around collecting them, and I would bid on some of them most years in the St. Judes auction. I know we were both former Marines. So Semper Fi, Bernie, and Godspeed.
Prayers up for family and friends!!!!
Bisch

Godspeed Bernie-you were a he** of a man. Always giving to others and gentleman to the end. Prayers for his family.
Bernie was the best. I met Bernie many years ago at NC Tard Championships at Hickory and ran into him at many other shoots around the southeast. He was always happy to see me as I was to see him. Tough as nails but always with a smile on his face. Rest in peace old friend. See you around the campfire.
Very sad to hear
With sadness, I send my sincere condolences.
Very sad to hear...such a kind giving man. RIP Bernie
Didn't know Bernie, but from what is being said, wish I had met him. Requeisat en Paz.
Sad. May his memory be eternal. George
Bern was one of a kind. Blessed to have known him here. He was the Tradgang St Jude Auction Ambassador.
And his wife was also heavily involved.
I will miss him!
Sorry to see this.
Prayers up!
Bernie ... as good a man as they come.
He will be missed by many, for sure.
He is now at peace in the lap of God.
This is sad.... yes, he was the St Jude Ambassador. , and his wife was Ambassadoress... they donated more items than anyone to our auction over the years l.
Bernie wasn't hear much for the last two years....
Miss you Sir and your kind heart.
Does anyone have a contact for his wife?
Terry, I believe Bernie's wife Rose passed on about 3 or 4 years ago. Very generous people. She used to make the nice hand-made afghans for the St. Jude auctions. I am lucky to have won one of them a few years ago.
Condolences to Bernie's family and friends. RIP.
Ron, somehow i missed that.... yes, she made baby blankets too that were a big hit.
Prayers for Bernie and family
Rest in peace ,Sir...
Always enjoyed Bernie's kindness.
So sorry to see this. I met Bernie years ago at the WV ATAR shoot. Just yesterday I thought of him and wondered about him. Great guy.
OK since his wife passed away earlier we will have to find something to do to honour Bernie for the St Judes auction....

Good idea Terry. This is a Kokopelli plaque from Bernie that I think I bid $10 or $15 for in a St Judes auction many years ago. I have enjoyed looking at it every time I go into my bow room, and would enjoy looking at it for the rest of my life. I think I'll put it back up for auction this year, and will start the bidding myself at $100.

RIP brother, Mcdave,,,good man..
Drove Old Bernie a many a mile up and down the road from ATAR to Hickory and then some.
He hunted behind my house a few seasons and always had an interesting story to tell. Shared a few St Jude hunting camps with me and Cory Mattson and Sunny Hill. Lots of memories made. Sad to say we kinda lost touch in the last several years. Priorities change and life takes a different path. My kids and grandson always remembered Bernie. Never a cross work from him although he could get pissed at times. I'm sure he's sitting up there with Rose , aurguing about how many dinosaurs he needs to collect this year.
This one hurts.
I am sorry to hear that! I don't post much here anymore, but at one time was very active. Bernie was the best! I bid on many items that he and his wife donated to St Jude's auctions over the years. If I remember correctly, he was also a fellow Marine! RIP brother!
My deepest sympathies and prayers for his family and friends. Lord Jesus, please wrap your loving arms around his family and calm the storm that they are going through. In Jesus mighty name I pray. Amen
This Guy was s Saint.

What a great man. He will be sorely missed! Sorry for their loss!
Berne collected dinosaurs all year long and would take them to trad shoots to give to kids. Stuffed dinosaurs, plastic toy dinosaurs, any kind of dinosaur.
Rest in peace, Marine. :(
So sad to hear of Bernie's passing. He was a very kind man, great attitude and a huge heart. I will miss him.
