I just glued up a pair of limbs for a 3 piece takedown longbow that I am designing based off the same limb profile as my one piece hybrids. What stack are you guys running for a 58-60", 50 pound takedown? I may have over calculated my stack on this first run.
I typically start with Binghams chart and swag it after that.
Yeah, I did that but I have a feeling I'm way heavy. I mounted the limbs to the riser last night so we'll see this weekend.
With a 16 in. riser 12 degree pads and .004 taper 62 in. .332 gets me about 50 @28 roughed out.
I went with a 14" riser, 12 degree pads and .002 taper on a 58" bow. My stack is .328 and I'm sure I'm heavy. I'll know more this weekend after I profile the limbs. The guy that's getting it is young and strong so maybe it'll work out.
Shorter riser will not change it too much. Shorter limbs will. Yeah my guess is that one will be healthy.
