I'm repairing a hairline crack in a Osage bow with deer back sinew. Can I just wrap and glue a piece of sinew, or should I separate the strands like one would leg sinew before wrapping and gluing?
I've always stripped it down for wraps. What glue are you using?
TB 3, or what you experienced guys recommend.

I would use a hide glue or Knox gelatin for that.

Hide glue for me too then seal it well.
Just use some string serving and flood it with super glue

I have used Knox as well as TB3 for wraps, I could tell no difference.
Most of the time a good soaking of a crack with superglue until it won't hold any more (don't clamp) in an osage bow is enough, I would only wrap one that runs off the edge or popped a splinter on the back.
