I was looking to get some aluminum shafts to try. Shooting a Crow Creek longbow #52 at 28". My draw length is about 26.75. I used the arrow sizing chart to get an idea on what shafts to use. Came up with 2016's. Anybody have any experience with this ?
What is the center cut on your Crow Creek longbow?
What is the length of the bow?
What weight points do you want to use?
As McDave said you need to know the cut of your riser. I have center cut in the weight you describe, because at that draw you should make 1916 work.
I would say that gonna be pretty close with an arrow cut to 28 inches.Maybe a 1916.
I shoot 2016s and 1916s almost exclusively from bows from 40-45#s.Most are cut to center or slightly past.High performance string and high performance bows pretty much.
I draw approximatly 28 inches. My arrows are cut 2 inches longer than you would need at 29.5 to 30 inches.
So with your shorter draw and shorter arrow I think you would be in the ballpark for sure at 52 poundage on your bow.
I do play with point weights from 125,150 up to 175 grains max
