Man, that was awhile back!! Still looks like a fine dog!
Yeah Kenny..... She's only 187 years old... her heart is way ahead of her body now.... as we all hope to be...

2 years ago a dump truck ran over her rear right foot and broke 4 of the 5 main bones in her foot... can't tell her that.... luv it!!!
What many don't know is this dog was abandoned on Echo road near Kenny's...
The couple that found it had tried to find the owner for 2 weeks.... They were gonna take the dog to the pound..... And I couldn't let that happen. Her 1st meal with me was a steak and shake Burger.... A double with cheese and fries..... And she spent the night with me in a hotel Her 1st night out of MO in Kentucky with me......
No doubt, she has been the best trophy to come off Kenny's since inception.
Good lookin dog. I have a chocolate lab mix and know what good lookin is.
That's great...
Yes.... she still looks good... imagine 4 years ago.... :campfire:
Good for you Terry, that dog must love you and it says a lot about you for stepping up...
Woof
Great story! I tip my hat to you good sir for giving her a home! Does she hunt?
That is cool story of redemption!
Sometimes what we find on a hunt is better than what we went for.
Good stuff
Awesome man's best friend!
They definitely steal your heart! Beautiful companion!
This is the dog that adopted me last fall. Showed up in my barn under the tractor skin and bones and a broken leg . Been run over and scabbed up all over. Couldn't find an owner so took him to vet and got fixed up.
We've had our moments and trials since he was basically a wild dog when he arrived. But he was so happy to see someone , I fed and watered him and here we are.

Amen Sir!!!!!
Great stuff Kenny.... Echo can't hang anymore...but she doesn't know any better God love her... again, its getting sad on me, but I give her time... but thankfull she never met the needle at the pound
Beautiful girl! You're a good man for taking her in.
Yes sir! That's a bad end. Sometimes we have to have one put down too, but after a long enjoyable life...
Kenny..... she's not there yet.... just the woods... love hate sir.... hate she ain't 100%... but love she still goes...
Its tuff Kenny.... as we see that in our future...
I'm gonna leave it right there brother...
I meant in general Terry , not your pup. We just had to put my wife's 14 year old dog down . The dog was miserable and it's a real hard thing ...
I hear ya Kenny.... sorry to hear about that.
Hurts like Hell, but
Oh , it just hurts like Hell. 16 and a half.
Spirit discovers deer camp.
Wow, a 10 year living trophy. Got to love that.
She look like she's happy and that's all we can do. What a beaut!!!
A good dog is one of life's greatest rewards. When I was 6, we got a little mixed breed dog with a lot of spaniel in her. I grew up with Sparkle as she lived till I was 18. I loved that dog. She was a true hunter. She loved chasing squirrels all her life. Of course, most of that time all I had was a BB gun. I'm 71 now, and I still think back sweetly about that little dog. She loved EVERYBODY. We were living on military bases most of that time, and she belonged to every kid in the neighborhood. Hundreds of times I've seen kids lick on their lollipops and then let Sparkle lick on it too. I totally understand how you guys feel about your 4 legged family members.
Good for you Terry. Im sure it was love at first sight. Good looking pup!!
