Title: How to break in a new bow
Post by: kennym on January 12, 2021, 08:01:41 PM
First spray some finish on it, let it dry a day...

Try your huntin arrows and a bare shaft.

Go huntin ...

Good way to break it in, good job. Unfortunately for me "breaking in" a new bow would be dropping it down a mountain somewhere while I am taking inventory of body parts on my way down. You're way is best by far.

Thanks guys!!

I just went back and found the biz end of my arrow.  Couldn't locate it the other night.  More penetration than I thought. You know how your mind sees what it thinks it does.

Never could find the feathered end with yellow feathers, musta flipped it a long ways?

The shaft with the broadhead was 18" long, so if it hadn't hit the armpit and leg bone on off side it would have been stuck in the dirt.

BTW , this is the bow I thought I heard my wife thinking I needed a new bow...  :biglaugh:

She got a laugh outa that!

Really like they way you have tweaked your design over the years, the riser on this one I am digging 👍🏽

Thanks fellas!

That bow design is about 2 or 3 years old , call it FHLB  or forward handle longbow for lack of better name. LOL

It will draw to 32" on the 60" model without stacking. 3 # per inch to there at least. Ran out of arrow and didn't have anybody there to help.  This one is a 58" and I need to do a DFC on it...
