Has anyone had any experience with the 200 and 300 grain brass inserts from Amazon?
Not from Amazon specifically but probably made by the same people. I bought some from an online archery store they fit slopppy in the Gold tip shafts. The Gold Tip brand is all I will use now. If I need more weight I'll use steel Broadhead adapters. If there's slack between the insert and shaft then glue would be the only contact in some places not to mention trying to get one centered perfectly in the shaft.
I believe they are a little small for gold tip the inside diameter is .246 and the Amazon are .244. Which I am hoping fit black eagle vintage better. I will see I ordered a dozen.
Hope they work. Might be a different brand the ones I bought were supposed to fit GT, CE anything .246. Not sure about the arrows your talking about
Used the Amazon 100 gr. On both Beman and GT shafts. Tips align fine, fly good....same POI for both brands. I still have a pack of 50 gr. I dont need if someone does. BTW....with hot melt a TINY bit of slop is good. Rotate your inserts during installation and automatically centers the insert. All my BH'S align fine! I do NOT heat inserts. I heat the glue first, rotate insert in hot melt and spin them in until depth achieved. Then immediately in a glass of water for a heat sink to be certain. ZERO problems.
The inserts are a good fit in the black eagle vintage and carbon express heritage. A little loose in gold tip hunter shafts. I bought both 200 and 300 grain.
