been wanting to order from Asbell for years, but never got around to it. Black Friday I looked at the sale page and ordered a Pathfinder. White and Black plaid blanket weight. Absolutely thrilled with it, guess I'll be spending some more $$ there!
I have several garments that I love from them.... good stuff!
Rodd
I'm pretty sure I'll have several before it's over!
Yeo!!!!!.... Great stuff.... got plenty!!!
hey Terry, this:
' An anchor point is not a destination, its an evolution to execution' - Me
finally makes sense to me, looking forward to my new copy of the video getting delivered so I can check on what I'm doing.
thanks, Pete
Love the Asbell wool and have several pieces from them. I'm seriously considering the orange vest they have so even if I'm toting my bow in gun season I can still have something quiet.
Great... let me know when it shows.... they warned me that media was slow at the moment....
will do. Everything is slow shipping wise right now...
Love my Asbell wool...
does anybody recall the weight, ounces, of the blanket weight? I have evening stand green, but its a little on the thin side. thank you.
Darktater , Hello , I'm from SC also and find Ashbel wool to be about perfect . Have several pieces , I keep with zippers because I wear glasses and find pullovers kinda awkward. One of their vest with the hooded jacket covers about any conditions we have here , with proper layering . I actually love the hoods on these , they block wind and I feel help to break up your outline and perhaps hide head movement.
I'm right there with you on the glasses, so I went XXL on the pathfinder, so it's plenty big for easy on and off. I'll probably get a vest as well, along with a lighter weight one for more mild weather. The hood is awesome! What part of SC?

Just an FYI I myself have a few pieces too but I normally wear it underneath something. I don't use it as an outer layer especially in the winter or fall. Burr docks, hitch hiker seeds, etc all stick to wool. It can be a real pain to remove em or be almost impossible. Something to consider
Congrats been eyeballing some myself
I'm in Simpsonville, Greenville County
not far at all, I used to live in Greer. Hope to see you around sometime.
Had a Greer address growing up. Found my favorite wool jacket ( Woolrich ) at the Barnyard flea market on 101 in Greer. Think I gave $8 for it.
Purchased my first Pathfinder 4 years ago and absolutely love it! But, I'm a bit more trim these days and, unfortunately, it's too baggy now. Not the worst problem to have! Now I just have to patiently wait for the pattern I want to buy to become available in the size I want!!
Yep, They are what they're cracked up to be.
You have made a wise decision
I have yet to buy but have really been looking at them, hows the the sleeves ? And over all bulk ? Are they bulky enough cause bow string issues ? I've got a pull over from sleeping Indian and really like it's cut.
mine is an XXL (I like to layer, and I'm not skinny). Sleeve length is great, I have mine rolled up about 1 1/2" but have that extra when its needed. Mine is blanket weight, and isn't bulky at all. I just throw an armguard over it, and haven't even hit that (unless it slides down a bit), so no worries there for me.
