After 16 unsuccessful Tradbow seasons Since my last kill, I finally connected this morning. He's not a big Buck but for me he is a trophy and I feel so blessed.
He came in about 8:15 directly to my feeder at about 15 yards. He fed for about 10 minutes and I really didn't consider shooting him and he bolted out and I thought he was gone but "No Worries". He came back in and started feeding at 12 yards and I thought "I've got a big Buck tag too so why not". I drew back picked a small spot behind the shoulder and released the arrow. Instantly I say the shot placement looked good but maybe a bit back. I waited about 20 minutes and thought I would get out of my pop up and check for blood. About 10 yards from the impact point the blood flow looked very good so I began to trail him. He only went 65 yards and piled up. He was a much larger bodied deer than I thought and I estimate he is a 2 1/2 year old with no antler growth. That said, I feel he was a great deer to remove from our small herd.
I am both thankful and proud that my arrow was true and for a quick kill.

Don't know if I could have lasted 16 deerless years so a BIG congrats for hanging in there. Hope for your further success on the big buck tag.
Well done, the little spikes certainly did not match the body of that deer, look at the length of his face and nose... you did the smart thing to remove him from the heard and you are to be congratulated....
Congrats. This gives me hope. Been archery and trad only for this is my 7th season.... no shot opportunities yet..... 16 seasons! Wow way to stick with it.
Nice job!!!
