The last time I hunted with my longbow
Was 17years ago. I had touch of cancer
a couple years ago and alot has changed.
I want to get back to it now although I'm a
bit weaker than before I don't know how many
seasons I have left. I just wanted to say hello
again it's nice to see all the familar names.
Living in the here and now is all we have. Time waits for no one as the wind of change blows directly in your face. The next moment is but a gift. May you take advantage in pursuing your passion and share your joy with us.
O Bowhunter
Be proud while you can, O Bowhunter,
While the skill and wit are yours,
Combined with youth's strong vigor,
Or Age's canny ways.
Be proud while you can, O Bowhunter,
And send your arrow true,
Deep into the heart of the greatest beast,
That rules in the frosty pines.
Be proud while you can, O Bowhunter,
For this year you still strike fear.
Remember that the fire grows cold,
Though hot it once began.
Be proud while you can, O Bowhunter,
For life, too, plays the game.
And one day the arrow comes for you,
And takes its prize the same.

Good luck in the field and enjoy your season!

Glad you're here. Good luck
Hang in there. Get a kill under your belt again, and you'll get back into it. There's all sorts of threads of lower poundage bows killing deer,if you've gotten weaker.
Several members here are in the same situation. Do what you can and enjoy it. Glad your finding things to stay entertained. Congrats on beating C.
Do what you can, do what you love.

Welcome, and have a memorable season.
Good luck to you sir! I hope you have a great season in the woods enjoying God's wonderland.
Best of luck and enjoy your season and life.
Stickman, I'm 76 ( :scared:--did I really say that) and have had to make quite a few changes in what I can and can't do any more. But actually none of us know how many seasons we have left. That's why it's important to remember the things that really matter--family, faith, friends, and enjoyable times in God's beautiful creation. I hope you have a blessed season and enjoy it like never before.
Enjoy your time back to trad hunting and create some new memories, but spend a little time looking back to enjoy old ones as well. It helps keep the fire burning and the old man out.
Moving a bit slower isn't necessarily a bad thing, just keep the wind in your face and good luck to ya.
