Just received a bag full of Bison hair as string silencer material. If you'd like to try it out shoot me a PM with address.

Although I've got plenty, I'm not cutting my mount.

I'll send some course and fine stuff.

I hope you didn't just walk up to that big boy and start snatching clumps of hair. It ought to make an interesting and effective string silencer.
Tried to pluck some while Buffalo was sleeping but that didn't end well, had someone send me some. Now just passing it around, more than I'll use in my lifetime.
:campfire:
pm sent, thanks.
All envelopes in the mail tomorrow.

I found a tiny clump of Bighorn shed wool when I was scouting in June for my tag. Wish I could of found enough to make string silencers. Been carrying the clump in my bino pouch since then hoping it will bring me luck, hasn't worked so far!
All e-mail and PM requests will have envelope in mail tomorrow.
:campfire:
It was suggested to mix Bison with other material.

PM sent...Thanks!
Last chunk of Bison hair sent out, thanks for the interest. Hope to have postings with experiences from those who tried some.

Wudstix,
Took a shot at these hairballs. Took the fat ends in and overlapped 'bout 5/8 inch, rolled em up and tied the bundle with dental floss. Seems to work well ( I used the harmonics formula for placement).
After 50 or so shots looks like some of the shorter hairs have left town. Ain't purdy but they do work. Just need a lil moleskin on the limbs n it ought be hush hush. Thanks brother
