I work for the railroad, and they have a big dumpster for us to throw out trash out when we swap out. We are right next to an air force base also. The conductor is a little crippled up so I offered to throw the trash out,and saw a whole box of military issue fatigues. Everything was small for me,but I think the wife can make short sleeve out of the shirts, and the hats should be just fine.
The conductor came down, and another employee from another craft came over also. The pants were way too little for me,but the conductor and the car man took some.
Anyway I love woodland camo pattern, and the stuff is like new!
Good find. Those are older than you think - the stripes on the arm are for a "Buck" sergeant. I separated in '91, and they had phased out that rank at the end of '90, I think. If you weren't an NCO by then, you wouldn't be until you attained Staff Sergeant. Somebody saved those for a long while!
That's interesting to know. There was a bunch of plain blue stuff in there as well.
Plus it looks like it's not the noisey rip stop material. Same stuff in my avatar photo. Good find there.
