Title: Temporary adhesive for bonding metal
Post by: frassettor on August 08, 2020, 12:33:57 PM
I have some glue on small game points that I will be putting steel adapters in them and was wondering what adhesive to use?
I don't want to use JB Weld because I may want to use the glue on points in  the future possibility of using them on wood arrows.

I like to use Big Jim's hot melt. I've used it on inserts, and broadheads.

I have the Kimsha Quick-Stick Point Glue and Bohning Ferr-L-Tite Point Glue. Will these work?

Any good brand of hot melt glue will work, not the clear stuff but the darker yellow is stronger.

Big Jim's easy to use. He has a video on using it.

Kimsha will work fine. Clean and prep with denatured alcohol or acetone for a good bond.
