Post by: strigif0rm3s on June 18, 2020, 05:51:24 PM
Anyone shoot the same arrow from these two bows around the same poundage and chrono it? just curious the results.

Yes, go to the site called Trad Lab. He has tested both and has comprehensive results. Good luck.

Just looked at trad lab and his results are pretty spot on to what my hazy memory recalled! Whip is a lot nicer to hold onto when you drop the string too! But the Super D ain't to shabby either!

I seem to remember someone here asking Dan what the difference was between the Whip and Super D.
The Whip is like a Corvette and the D is like a Cadillac.

I'd like to have one of each. As well as several others too...

I've had both, seemed like the Whip was faster, but never put them through the chrono. I liked everything about the Whip better, and still have the Whip.

I have ended up shooting Dan's Super Ds exclusively but have had a number of Whips as well. I've chrono graphed both and while I don't remember the exact f.p.s., I recall that with arrows in the 9 or 10 to 1 g.p.p range the Whip had a few feet per second advantage. When you went up to 11 1/2 to 12 1/2 g.p.p which I shoot, the Super Ds got very close to the Whip's speed.
