Title: Bow-killed Bushytails!
Post by: dhaverstick on June 16, 2020, 09:30:10 AM
I've laid off killing squirrels for a couple of weeks mainly because I didn't feel like cleaning them. However, I had a couple of young-n-tenders around the house that kept teasing me and I succumbed to the temptation. Good for me - bad for them! Hot pink is the new Realtree Advantage. I do love a bow-killed squirrel because there is no mess. I had these fellers cleaned in about 5 minutes. I don't know what you all do during the summer but I'm still filling the freezer and having fun!

I've gottm' coming in my back yard to the bird feeder but I would feel guilty about shooting them over bait.

Yep, and I have several mulberry trees within 25 feet of the kitchen door. I can sit on the porch and hunt if I want to. I catch a lot fewer ticks that way!

Max, that is a Wild Horse Creek Destiny longbow in a two-piece takedown. It's 53#@28". It has a bamboo limb core, spalted myrtle veneer, and a kingwood riser. Mike Dunnaway knows how to make a bow!

Congrats. Not in season here yet. I only resort to killing the trespassing ones in traps right now.

No Mulberry here this spring, late frost took 'em out!
This was my go to food source for grounhogs!
