Just got the bow in the mail, it is a beauty!!! Dual shelf, dual nocks, 64" and 66" length. I'll see if I can gets some photos for y'all!!!
Here you go
Woah, that's funky. And creative! I like it!
That's a cool one!!
I thought you were downsizing lol
Tim B
Thanks for the pics KAT, downsizing don't seem to work for me..... :biglaugh: I shot this just a bit last night. It's smooth all the way to 29" and is whisper quiet. The bow is dead in the hand upon release and pretty quick.
That is just a cool bow.
Very nice, intriguing bow.
Wow pretty creative. That has to be the first of it's kind! I had dual shelf Harrison longbpws, but the shelves were on the same end of the bow. Let us know how it shoots from both ends.
Good luck with it.
Gil
Cool.Like how he did the grip so its the same either way you flip it.
Whats the poundage difference between the 64 and 66 inch string knocks?
64"-45@29"-66"-41@29", I have a Northern Mist that Steve made this way, I also have seen a Leon Stewart longbow. I asked Chad to give this a shot and he knocked it out of the park. The bow shoots really well......
Neat'o bow! If I shot with my other hand I think my shoulder would blow up. LOL
Nice looking bow.
That's sliker'n deer guts on a doorknob
Would love to shoot one, but couldn't order an even tillered bow without shooting it first. Looks like he did a great job.
Ron, that is very cool. Pretty to look at! I wouldn't need one of those shelves. Which of Chad's bows is most similar to that? I've long liked the look of his Osprey.
Best regards, Chase
This bow is based on the Shrike, all his stuff is really good!!
So you can draw on a deer no matter which side of the tree he comes in on! Chad is a true craftsman,
:clapper:
Ron, very nice congrats. I have a question can you have the string on the long nock on one end and short nock on the other end? Just curious if it can be done and how it would shoot.
I don't think that would be good, the tiller would be way off !!
Alan, Ron is right. That would throw the tiller off.
These are really neat bows as they are so versatile. By putting a shelf above and below, the shelf can be cut to center. Not the case when you put both shelves above the grip. This bow allows you to share it with a spouse, child or friend that needs less poundage and or shoots the opposite hand. It allows you to shoot less poundage for targets then hunting. It also allows a strictly right handed or left handed shooter to play around with shooting fingers but also play around with the thumb release.
I tiller these bows even and they can be shot three under or split. The idea of having two different nocking points for right and left handed shooting allows the shooter to tune nock height for both hands. Having the shelves both above the grip only allows for one nock point and that assumes that the shooter shoots identical with both hands.
The only down sides to this bow is there is no flexibility in grip style/shape. It has to be a low grip and symmetrical. There is a little more bulk in the tips which adds a small amount of extra mass which can rob a small amount of speed.
That is just crazy cool!!!
I love the double string nock idea.
Very interested in this bow. Hope everything continues to shine with testing and it gets added to his bow list.
Ron, I bought the one you tried first. Not as fancy as yours and has a small cosmetic defect, but it shoots great (was also quite a bit cheaper than yours).
Enjoy it Bladepeek......
That is ridiculously cool.
Cool bow Ron. Nice work Chad. Boy not much turn around time either.
Quite creative....
