Title: New beginning
Post by: Bvas on May 23, 2020, 09:54:25 PM
Went out today to freshen a mineral lick and check a small clover plot. Stumbled across this little one. Amazing how still it stayed with me being just six feet away. Didn't see mama, but I'm sure she was close.

It's a nice surprise finding them that young.  Nature always renewing herself.

Supposedly for a short time newborn fawns are essentially scent-free and instinctively know they can't out run predators and that their best bet is to blend in and remain motionless...nature is pretty neat.
